Rolling Thunder 2013 in Washington DC

The ride from Gettysburg to Washington, DC and our campsite in Fredericksburg was uneventful and the weather was pleasant. The surprise came when we crossed into Virginia and discovered that there was a massive traffic jam as everyone in the area was headed south to get away from DC and enjoy the holiday weekend at the beach. It took us over three hours to go the 50 miles from DC to our campsite and when we got there a hot meal and a cold beer was all we wanted. We discovered that we could order Chinese Take Out at the site so that's what we did. Ralph Luther showed up with his truck loaded with beer so we had all we needed to make our first night in Virginia complete. We laughed and joked until late in the night while sitting around a campfire that Jim Mulanix (aka the gnome) finally was able to get started with some help from Ralph's supply of combustible material. Not sure what that liquid was but it kick started the fire and we were in business. Photos when Blue gets them loaded
