Well the jokes about "Blue's" appetite have begun. We're four months away from the ride and the submarine community is already pinging.

The first legs of the ride to Rolling Thunder are mapped out so now I'm working on the routes and time it will take us to make our way from Virginia down to Ralph's house and then over to Deals Gap for the "Dragon" and then the scenic route back to Michigan.
I'm meeting with Art this morning for breakfast and will talk to him about how much time he has and we'll try to get an itinerary up by this weekend. Blue and Jim feel free to offer suggestions. Either here on the blog or via e-mail.
Temps are in the 50's today but raining or I'd be out riding. Snow returns by end of week but the days are getting longer and before you know it we will be back on the bikes soon. At least us northern guys will.

Rolling Thunder 2013
This Blog will Chronicle the adventures of:
Fred "Doc" Gardner
Paul "Blue" Hartridge
Art Simmons
Jim "The Gnome" Mulanix
Doc, Blue and the Gnome have ridden together the Pacific Northwest in 2010 and Doc and the Gnome have riddent to Rolling Thunder in 2011.
Art is the FNG and I'm sure he will pick up a "nickname" before this trip is over. It will be his first trip to Rolling Thunder and his first visit to "The Wall".
The primary purpose of this trip is to help Art in his journey from the jungles of Viet Nam back to the World. This will be Art's first trip to The Wall and we want to make it memorable.
Following the Rolling Thunder activities we we will head south to visit with Ralph Luther in South Carolina, then over to "The Tail of the Dragon" in Deals Gap. From there it is on to the Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway before heading north on Rt 250 through West Virginia and back to my home in Michigan.
